What's New in Green Hills This Fall: The Openings Worth Knowing About

October 22, 2026

The Mall at Green Hills has the longest list of new names in the neighborhood this fall. Most of the places you can actually walk into this week are elsewhere. Green Hills' newest dinner reservation is at Vertis Green Hills on Richard Jones Road. The newest casual chicken spot took over an old fast-food building on Hillsboro Circle. The newest British clothing boutique is across Hillsboro Pike at Hill Center. Inside the mall, the new arrivals are mostly smaller specialty shops, and two of them are still listed as on their way.

Off the Mall: Three Openings With Confirmed Dates

Lupo Notte at Vertis Green Hills

The biggest dining addition of the season is Lupo Notte, an upscale Italian restaurant at 2035 Richard Jones Road inside Vertis Green Hills. It is the first full-service restaurant from Southern Land Company, the Nashville-based developer behind Vertis. Before this, the company's hospitality work centered on the dining facilities at Westhaven Golf Club in Franklin. That puts a home developer, rather than a restaurant group, behind the neighborhood's newest dinner reservation.

Southern Land's September 24 update confirmed that Lupo Notte opened on schedule on September 16. By the time this post publishes, it has been open about five weeks.

The team has local roots. Executive Chef Owen Lane was most recently executive sous chef at Pastis and previously cooked at Audrey and June in East Nashville and at The Boardroom in Franklin's Westhaven community. He grew up on a family farm in Leipers Fork. General Manager David Rehrmann has led A Voce in New York City and Modern Italian and Zuzu in Nashville.

Here's what to know before you book, from the opening announcement Visit Music City published:

  • The menu: house-made pasta, 12-inch pizzas from a three-deck oven, fresh seafood, and shareable plates such as wagyu beef carpaccio and the signature Lupo meatballs
  • The bar: seasonal craft cocktails and a wine list heavy on Italian varietals
  • The room: nearly 3,100 square feet, about 110 seats indoors and 20 more across two patios, plus an eight-seat Chef's Counter facing the open kitchen
  • Hours: dinner only, 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday
  • Reservations: through luponotte.com or OpenTable

Lunch is the open question. Southern Land's September update still described lunch service as coming later this fall, and the restaurant's menu page currently shows dinner. If you have a midday meeting in mind, check the restaurant's site before you plan around it.

Nashville's HASTINGS Architecture designed the space with Southern Land's in-house team. It includes a new glass-walled dining and bar area built out into the Vertis courtyard. The Chef's Counter is the seat to request for a smaller dinner. The patios are the better choice while October evenings stay mild.

Waldo's Chicken & Beer on Hillsboro Circle

Davidson County Source reported that Waldo's Chicken & Beer opened its Green Hills location on Tuesday, September 15, in the building that was a Wendy's for years at 4106 Hillsboro Circle.

The menu is Southern fried and rotisserie chicken in sandwiches, baskets, bowls and plates, with house-made sides, signature sauces, cheese biscuits, and beer and cocktails. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

This one was a long time coming. What Now Nashville spotted the plan through a permit filing back in February. Waldo's opened the day before Lupo Notte. Between them, Green Hills gained one weeknight option and one special-occasion dinner in the same mid-September week, both outside the mall.

Boden at Hill Center Green Hills

Across Hillsboro Pike, British clothing brand Boden opened at Hill Center Green Hills, 4025 Hillsboro Pike, in July. Hill Center's September update describes it as a 1,700-square-foot store and Boden's second full-price location in the United States. Boden had announced Nashville in March as its second U.S. market. The brand had mostly sold online and through department stores before opening its own shops, and Forbes covered the Green Hills store as part of that larger shift.

For anyone shopping in Green Hills, it means a brand that used to be mostly a catalog name now has a fitting room on Hillsboro Pike, a short walk from the rest of Hill Center.

Inside the Mall: A Longer List, Fewer Dates

The Mall at Green Hills, at 2126 Abbott Martin Road, has the most announcements. Its new names fill specific needs, and in two cases their timing is less settled than the three openings above.

Business What it is Status heading into late October
Rowan Ear-piercing studio and hypoallergenic jewelry Announced to open Saturday, Sept. 19
Edikted Fashion retailer aimed at a Gen Z shopper Listed as "Now Open" on the mall's site; no opening date announced
ThirdLove Bras, underwear, activewear and sleepwear with a focus on fit Listed as "Opening Soon"; no date announced
Nespresso Coffee, machines and accessories boutique Listed as "Preparing to Arrive"; no date announced

Davidson County Source reported that Rowan's Green Hills studio is its first in Nashville, with opening set for September 19. Edikted was announced in May. A Williamson Source roundup of incoming mall tenants expected it in September, and the mall's directory now shows it as open.

The last two are still pending. What Now Nashville reported ThirdLove's arrival on September 9 without an opening date. The same outlet found Nespresso through a permit filing in August, also with no announced date. As of this writing, the mall's own page still lists both as on their way.

Taken together, the mall's fall additions are specialists: one studio for ear piercing, one shop for coffee machines and capsules, one brand built around bra fit. For a Saturday errand run, that is useful. If you're planning around a specific store, check the directory before you park.

Further Out: Announced, Not Yet Close

Two more names have been tied to Green Hills, and neither is close enough to plan around yet.

Tracy Anderson, the fitness brand known for dance-based movement, strength training and choreographed workouts, plans a Green Hills studio. What Now Nashville reported on September 23 that it would be the brand's 12th location worldwide. Other studios include New York, Los Angeles, Miami, the Hamptons, Montana, Madrid and London. As of that report, the address and opening date were waiting on a finalized lease. A membership waitlist is open through the Tracy Anderson website.

La La Land Kind Cafe is listed in Nashville Guru's coming-soon directory at 4012 Hillsboro Pike, with a 2027 timeline. It's worth knowing the name, but it isn't part of this year's calendar.

A Fall Weekend Built From What's Open Now

Using only places with confirmed openings, a full Green Hills Saturday fits within a few blocks. Start at Boden at Hill Center in the late morning, then head to Waldo's on Hillsboro Circle when it opens at 11 a.m. Spend the afternoon at the mall, where the directory will tell you which new storefronts are open that day. End with dinner at Lupo Notte, which opens at 5 p.m. and stays open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays.

Ask for the Chef's Counter if you're a party of two. A seat on the patio is the season's best table while the weather holds.

I follow Green Hills changes like these, from a new restaurant at Vertis to a lease waiting on Hillsboro Pike, because they shape what daily life here looks like.
